Prizewinner in Aberdeen International Youth Festival, July 2000, performing Debussy’s String Quartet with the Gantelius Quartet.


Goldsmiths College, University of London (2000-2002). M.Mus in contemporary music studies. Dissertation on the music of Kaija Saariaho with special focus on her violin concerto Graal Theatre.

Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (1997- 2000). BA (Hons) in Music (2:1). First study violinist.

First-class grades in all academic work including dissertation on the connection between music and art with special regard to the works of Schoenberg and Kandinsky.
